Job Title: Database Architect
Location: Alpharetta, GA (Hybrid)
Type: Direct Hire
Position Summary: The Database Architect will support the seamless and efficient flow of information throughout the organization with a minimal amount of downtime.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Set and maintain database standards that conform to Bank policy. This includes installation, upgrades, and scheduled/unscheduled maintenance.
• Design and manage data structure to ensure high availability of all databases and manage incidents within SLA goals.
• Manage database access, data security and data integrity within policy standards.
• Manage the installation and maintenance of database servers and performance tune database systems, usage, and storage.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot database errors.
• Establish code and naming standards and ensure that all members of the team follow them
• Help establish a development environment and controlled processes to minimize change risk to the organization
• Tune inefficient queries and/or indexing where needed

Education/Experience:
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or related field
• 5+ year of experience in database administration, regulated banking or finance company experience preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of networking concepts, object-oriented technology, data warehousing, and relational database engines
• Maintaining a consumer-focused outlook and aiding in the delivery of IT projects
• Strong critical thinking skills
• Ensure Information Security and compliance governance that apply to company data
Technical Skills:
SQL Server, T-SQL, SSMS, SSIS, SSRS, Visio, Visual Studio Microsoft Office, Microsoft Teams,
Communications:
Read, analyze, and interpret technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Respond to inquiries or complaints from customers, agencies, or members of the business community.
Reasoning Ability:
Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Desired, would-be a plus:
Microsoft Certified Database Administrator (MCDBA)
Microsoft Certified Architect: SQL Server (MCA)
